They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. Position: Day Support Worker Location: Harrow and Hillingdon Contract type: Fixed Term Contract 31/03/2019 Hours: 35.00 per week Salary: £16,577.00 per annum (actual) Closing Date: 5PM on Friday 16th February 2018 Interview date: TBC About the Role: The Templeton Centre is based in Northwood Hills; part of the North West London locality. They provide day care and support in a stimulating, fun and safe environment to people of all ages with a diagnosis of dementia. The centre is open from Monday to Saturday, 9-5. About You: They are looking for people with personal or work experience in a dementia care setting. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of dementia and the needs of people with dementia, their families and carers. You will have good listening skills, adaptability and work well within their small dedicated team. You will be able to contribute to and plan high quality activities for our service users to the standards required by the Society. You will be responsible for a caseload of clients and as their key-worker, will be the main point of contact for those service users and their carers. You should possess NVQ2 in health & social care or be willing to work towards this qualification.
