Meraki Talent’s client is short listing for a Technology Research Analyst (Infrastructure) to join their team. The team are responsible for the research and evaluation of new technology which could potentially benefit the firm, employees and clients. They work alongside colleagues in the Integration & Optimisation team (who deliver the new technology out to the firm) and the Datacentre & Operations team (who then own the new technology once live). The role involves working to evaluate potential new technology, by researching and reviewing all possible options, shortlisting and testing the most appropriate ones, and producing a report which arrives at a satisfactory conclusion. The role holder will be encouraged to conduct research on new and emerging technologies which may be of interest in the future. This is a great role for a graduate type candidate with three to five years experience and an inquisitive mind looking for a new challenge and the chance to ask ‘what if’ or an experience infrastructure candidate with a broad range of research and technological skills.

Responsibilities of the Technology Research Analyst (Infrastructure):

- Understand the current and future needs of the business

- Research new technologies and techniques

- Generate and curate ideas

- Conduct detailed evaluations and come to clear conclusions

- Support the implementation of new products, services and techniques

- Produce white papers on future trends

- Support tech investor research where appropriate

Background of the Technology Research Analyst (Infrastructure):

- Broad knowledge of technology and infrastructure. Someone who has not been siloed within one specific area, someone who has a wide and diverse knowledge of tech, essential

- Experience working within a project environment or environment of change, essential

- Someone with a hands on knowledge of cloud technologies absolutely essential

- Experience in process improvement, able to evidence upon CV

- Someone able to evidence an outside of work interest in technology on the CV

- Able to demonstrate the ability to self teach outside of work

- Past experience in researching or evaluating a variety of technologies

- Strong report writing skills
