We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and personable Events Co-ordinator to join our Events team. Within our ambitious Special events stream, you will be responsible for planning, managing and developing an exciting range of special events to cultivate high profile supporters, raise awareness and meet fundraising targets. In return you will get to be part of a fantastic team delivering a national portfolio of high quality, innovative events.

You will work with colleagues in various teams to plan engaging, creative marketing strategies and to implement exciting new special events, as well as providing first class supporter care to all supporters. You will also be responsible for attending events to coordinate on-the-day logistics as required.

Our ideal candidate will be tenacious, driven and comfortable to approach companies and individuals for event sponsorship and gifts in kind. You must have demonstrable experience of successfully organising a wide variety of fundraising and profile-raising events with significant experience of designing and developing promotional materials. You will also have experience of working effectively without close supervision, dealing with problems as they arise and of drawing up budgets and managing income/expenditure.

Excellent communication skills are essential, and you must be able to develop positive working relationships with a range of internal and external contacts, including high profile supporters and senior level staff.

You will have the ability to use databases and Microsoft Office software, in particular Raiser’s Edge, Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as a good standard of numeracy, in order to keep accurate financial records. Due to the nature of the role, out of hours work and overnights stays are a requirement.
