Contract Type
Full Time

Start Date: Feb 2018

Hours: Part time hours (over 5 days), term time only.

We are seeking to appoint a LAC Designate/Student Support Assistant to start as soon as possible. You will need to be positive, responsible and flexible and want to join a creative, happy and close-knit team at Wye School. As an establishing school, we have a small staff and it is essential that anyone appointed is flexible and enjoys working in a team environment. Here you will have the opportunity to develop your own specialism rather than just providing general classroom support.

You will be required to fulfil a range of duties, including supporting literacy catch-up for students and you will provide in-class support for individuals and small groups, as well as withdrawal support.

What you can do is always more important to us than what you have done, so applications are welcome from anyone with a passion for learning and a genuine commitment to bringing out the best in everyone.

For further details regarding the role, please see the Job Description.

Wye School is a free school with a comprehensive intake, across the whole ability range. It opened in September 2013 and we have 5 year groups. We are three form entry, with a PAN of 90, and are over-subscribed for all year groups.

Salary: Term-time only, pro-rata to full-time equivalent salary of £16,000 FTE.

Applications will be considered on receipt. Suitable candidates will be interviewed on receipt of application and Wye School reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.

Final Deadline for Applications: Monday 19 February 2018, 12 midday

Interviews: w/c 19 Feb 18
