We currently have the pleasure of representing a well-known London based restaurant group in their search for a Finance Manager to join their fast-paced finance team.

Reporting to the FD, the post holder will be responsible for managing the team of 8, ensuring that a robust financial and commercial control environment is maintained, whilst also driving financial and commercial value within the business.

The role will support the business by providing timely, reliable and relevant management information and reporting.


Key duties will include:

• Implementation of financial processes and procedures to ensure capture and reporting of all data
• Coordination and review of weekly and monthly management information within prescribed timescales
• Identifying unexpected results contained in management information
• Assisting in producing and managing annual budgets and forecasts
• Review and authorise payment runs for processing
• Compile year-end audit file with supporting documentation and produce the statutory account packs
• Liaise with auditors where applicable
• Managing the London Accounts team/office, which comprises the general ledger, purchase ledger, cash book and payroll functions
• Identify and address training requirements within the London Accounts team
• Review of quarterly VAT return in an accurate and timely manner
• Prepare and review of payroll and tronc files
• Manage/implement any changes required to the EPOS system as required
• Be proactive in reviewing existing procedures identifying any weaknesses and providing recommendations for improvements
• Carry out any other ad hoc duties as required by the Divisional Accountant


We are looking for an hard working and confident accountant who enjoys challenging work and is keen to stabilise and manage their team. Below are the key skills, experience and qualities that have been identified for this position:
• The role requires a confident individual, with strong communication skills, who is comfortable working with both junior and senior employees
• A strong accounting background and an attention to detail are essential, the post holder will have a logical and inquisitive approach and be able to perform self-review to sense check their own work
• A drive to understand the mechanics of the business is required in order to see behind the figures
• Fully proficient and experience in using Microsoft Excel as a minimum
• Strong general IT knowledge is essential
• The individual will be a strong team player, but who is also able to manage the accounting staff on a day-to-day basis
• Flexibility is a key skill, to deal with ad hoc analytical tasks, and also to provide holiday and sickness cover


• The salary for this position is £50,000 - £55,000 per annum dependent on experience
• Working hours: 9:00am-5:30pm Monday to Friday
• 25 days’ annual leave + public holidays
