The Role:

Management of the AD plant on a day to day basis including but not limited to:

• Management of all operatives including recruitment of staff, management of staff rotas.
• Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the AD Plant covering all phases of plant operations including: Safety, Environment, Operations, maintenance and quality control.
• Managing the feeding of the plant to deliver optimum gas production.
• Working with the feedstock provider to ensure products are ordered when required and delivered to the intake building.
• Managing the maintenance and maintenance contracts of the AD plant ensuring scheduled maintenance is carried out when required.
• Managing the performance of the plant ensuring the plant is operating at its optimum performance level.
• Taking the lead role in Health and Safety and environmental legislation.
• Managing all reporting and transactional requirements of the plant such as order processing, health and safety documentation, scheduled maintenance contracts etc.
• Basic M&E maintenance when required

Required:

• To be considered for this position you will have a background in agriculture/anaerobic digestion/ biogas/wastewater treatment/chemical process etc.
• A good knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
Proven experience in man management and looking after budgets, P&L, rotas, health & safety, compliance etc.
• Experience with feedstock, gas yields, CHP units, generators and biological processes is advantageous.
