Are you a Procurement Manager with strong knowledge of OJEU process, end to end procurement management, public sector procurement, and have or working towards MCIPS?

Are your procurement activities repetitive, trying to shave prices with the same suppliers over and over again? Or are you looking at potential progression and staring at a manager who looks like they'll still be in their role until they're physically forced off the premises in 2 decades time?

Well, you're reading this job advert so you must at least be a bit curious to see what's out there...

We have a role for a major civil engineering project - the largest megaproject this country is going to see for the next 2 decades, based in Birmingham for a Procurement Manager in its corporate division. You don't have to know the price of steel or bricks in this role, as you will be responsible for all corporate non-construction costs.

The key thing in this role, is you will be given ownership of many concurrent procurement projects and you will be responsible for the end to end procurement activity, working to EU legislation. These activities can have budgetary responsibilities from £10k to £100m.

The other thing in this role is their is room for progression - the procurement function is getting bigger and bigger and opportunities are abound to grow either within the procurement team or in the wider commercial areas.

So, if you have strong working knowledge of OJEU, MCIPs, public sector procurement and comfortable with the entire end to end process of procurement activities and are curious, please let me know...

We have a fair and comprehensive selection procedure. It is our policy that there should be equal opportunity for and no discrimination against applicants on the grounds of gender, race, religion or belief, nationality, colour, pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, disability, age, marriage and civil partnership, union or non-union membership, socio-economic background or being a part-time or fixed term worker
