BMC Resourcing are proud to be supporting this well-established and leading Engineering specialist. Due to continued organic growth our client is now seeking a Contracts Engineer to join their projects team working on a number of their specialist and varied projects. This is a very exciting opportunity to work for a leading business who invest in their employee’s futures.

The successful Contracts Engineer will be a key part of the UK team to help deliver projects with a strong focus on technical proficiency and accurate documentation. This is a permanent position responsible for acting as Contracts/Project Engineer on a selection of small to medium sized projects, including ultimate responsibility for financial control, resourcing management, internal project leadership, administration, programming and client liaison.

As the Contracts Engineer you will be responsible for:
• Design and documentation of mechanical engineering of projects
• Project Coordination both internally and externally
• Resource Management
• Marketing Activities
• Project Cost Management
• Implementation of the company's QA procedures.
• Maintain contract documentation for projects including supplier/customer purchase orders and correspondence.
• Review customer specifications and terms and conditions for new projects
• Raising customer invoices promptly and any customer queries are responded to promptly.
• Responsible for ensuring projects comply with relevant specifications and technical requirements and with any relevant contractual, legal and quality requirements.

Key Requirements:
• Previous engineering experience and a subject matter expert in the discipline of engineering
• Up-to-date relevant knowledge of engineering and of industry best practice, appropriate to the relevant discipline, is required.
• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are required, coupled with an ability to form effective relationships with partners and delivery team members under time pressure, and a customer centric, flexible approach.
