Acorn Accountancy and Finance are working with a well-established organisation in Newport with good public transport links and onsite parking.

As a Credit Controller, you will have key role to play in the Finance team your duties will include but not be restricted to:

* Collection of debts by way of email, telephone, fax and letter.
Issuing of monthly statements.
* Liaising with Heads of Departments regarding outstanding debts.
* Reporting on a monthly basis as part of the management meetings.
* Liaising with debt collection agencies and issuing court proceedings.
* Daily banking routine, including cash allocation on system and banking of cheques and cash.
* Cash inflow forecasting
* Credit checking of potential new customers.
* Any other Ad hock Admin duties

Candidates must have:

* Accuracy
* Good communication skills (verbal and written)
* High level of organisation skills
* Ability to form good working relationships
* To work either alone or as part of a team
* Reliable
* Positive attitude
* Good time management skills
* Experience in a credit control environment

You will have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - have the ability to work under pressure and flexibly to achieve prescribed deadlines, the ability to work under own initiative, be a competent user of financial systems and ability to maintain sound and detailed financial records.
