We are recruiting NOW for a NPI Quality Engineer to join this leading 1st Tier Automotive Manufacturer.

We are proud to be an integral part of our client's growth plans over the coming years. Due to continued expansion we are seeking to recruit a NPI Quality Engineer to join the team.

The Role:-

New Product Introduction or modification supporting stamping & assembly regarding Quality Documentation
Preparation of customer APQP and PPAP documents.
Create FMEA’s, Control Plans and internal documentation.
Create and obtain approval for measurement gauge concept with customer.
Provide timing for quality milestones and activities for Project timing plan.
MSA studies on CMM fixtures and gauges.
Statistical analysis of measurements results from capability studies.
Buy-off criteria for the fixtures and gauges from supplier.
Provide timing for quality milestones and activities for Project timing plan.
Ensure all fixtures and gauges are entered onto the Calibration system.
Escalate issues that could potentially undermine the program.
Component buy-off at tool makers.
Ensuring Quality milestones are achieved .
Communication and Presentations, directly with Customers and internal.
Managing Non Conformances (AIMS etc) and implementing procedures and tools including NCR's and 8D's.

Key Requirements

Proven background in successful application of QA techniques supported by excellent problem solving skills.
Current driving license, as travel to customers and suppliers will be required as and when necessary. Prepared for periods away from home at domestic and foreign customers and suppliers.
Have a valid passport (with minimum six months remaining)

Customer Liaison experience
BIW / Chassis / Structural Assemblies
Presswork / Tooling / Assembly
NPI Projects for OEMS
A proven background of Quality knowledge combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates a positive attitude towards change, with a willingness to be flexible and adapt to new circumstances.
The ability to lead cross functional team members.
Results driven, with the enthusiasm and resilience to see a job well done through effective ownership.

HNC in Manufacturing or Engineering
