Web Developer E Marketing – Chester – Perm up to £26K p.a. - Chester

Working closely with a design project manager the successful candidate will play a key role in production of e-marketing collateral

The role demands the ability to work alongside marketing team, developers and designers to build templates and send eMarketing campaigns

To apply, candidates should have the following skills and experience:

• Be educated to degree level

• Web Development

• Graphic design and user-interface design

• Implementing and developing websites using proprietary content management system e.g. Sitecore

• Using web analytics solutions e.g. Google analytics, Google Tag Manager (Nice to have)

• Design of e mail marketing templates to ensure cross browser compatibility and high delivery rates

• Technical issues relating to cross browser capability and responsive design

• Microsoft Visual Studio Environment

• Sitecore CMS 7.5 or higher

• Version control (Git, Team City, Octopus Deploy)

• HTML / HTML5 /CSS /CSS3

• CasperJs, Angular.js, Knockout.js

• AJAX

• JSON, XML

• Modern object-oriented JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, especially jQuery, Bootstrap

• E Mail Marketing: Experience of email marketing solutions and running email campaigns e.g. Gaitormail; Cheetah mail; Pure 360

E Mail Marketing:

Design e mail marketing templates to ensure browser and mobile device compatibility

Successful tracking of all calls to action design of online adverts

Set up, send and manage email campaigns

Liaise with the marketing team

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working with internal clients and external suppliers

Coach and support editorial, marketing and commercial staff in use of email marketing.

Website updates and design:

Design, optimize, maintain and help support websites using tools such as HTML/HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, Adobe Photoshop

Update website as required to ensure content is aligned with email campaign content

Building of web enquiry forms

Edit and encode video and audio for use on sites and in emails

Produce work that complies with coding and accessibility standards, is responsive and optimised for search engines.

Management Reporting:

Assist with ad hoc requests for management information relating to online services.

Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation, to ensure that business opportunities are followed through/value change is realised/services are improved/duplication of effort is avoided.

Occasional travel within the UK sometimes with overnight stays.

There are no budget or supervisory/management responsibilities associated with this post.
