Product Manager (Water Treatment)

Our client is a global name in environment solutions, with operations all around the world. They service customers in the municipal and industrial sectors, with Water, Waste and Energy management.

They are now looking for a Product Manager to join their Water technologies team, responsible for the product life cycle management for a given number of SSP (Standard Solutions Platform) water treatment unit products.

Location: Stoke on Trent (commutable from Stafford, Macclesfield, Derby, Matlock, Burton)

Job role:

The Standard Solutions Platform (SSP) produces and customises water treatment units. The Product Manager will manage a range of these products in line with market expectations and customer feedback, leading any technical development where needed to improve the product portfolio.

Key tasks:

- Responsible for the whole design-to-cost process, to secure the most competitive product possible, in line with budgets
- Responsible for the technical documentation attached to the product, ensuring it delivers information in the best way for our customers and to support the business with design, development and production
- Lead technical development where needed to improve the product portfolio, preparing monthly reports on activity and progress
- Promotion and training on products for internal and external customers plus contact point for all business units for feedback, technical support and promotional activity
- Maintain all systems and documentation as required across the product lifecycle, and ensure products are compliant with all safety rules


About you:

- Engineering degree (or equivalent) is preferred
- Experience and knowledge of Process Water treatment (Chemical process, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Engineering)
- Understanding and experience of Product Management (product lifecycle, commercially aware)
- Project management experience, with the ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English, plus the ability to speak a second language would be helpful (French, German, Spanish, Chinese)
- Strong I.T skills particularly with Microsoft Office
