Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer (OLE) to join VolkerRail Major Projects working within the Rail Electrification Alliance on the East Coast Main Line Power Supply Upgrade.

You will be responsible for the provision of technical advice and guidance on one or more of our projects. As a key member of the team you will ensure engineering excellence is achieved throughout the life cycle of the project, from pre contract tender input through design and implementation phases through to handover to the client. You will also manage your resources and team effectively to deliver against agreed plans and budgets.

Job Requirements

You will be self-motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Problem solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are a key requirement for this role. The candidate will also ideally have the following Experience/skill set:

* A successful record of undertaking the role of Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE).
* Demonstrable experience working within Overhead Line Engineering.
* A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline with an HNC/HND as a minimum.
* Confident communication skills, both in writing and in internal and external correspondence.
* Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
* Experience at team working/collaborating.
