A business that is growing both organically and through acquisition we are increasing the number of Credit Controllers within our Accounts Receivable Team and are looking for experienced, highly motivated credit professionals with a proven history in debt recovery and a passion for all things debt related who will deliver an exceptionally high standard of service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Based in Cressex, High Wycombe and working as part of a large target driven team supporting a network of almost 300 UK Depots across a business handling anything from household waste through to hazardous waste as well as the highly sophisticated Recycling Plants, these opportunities are key to support our growth plans. In the last 6 months recent acquisitions have increased our Customer base by 15,000 accounts.

CICM study support is also on offer after a period of probabtion for permanent employees along with a full range of internally support training and development courses.

Responsibilities of the role include:

Manage a dedicated portfolio of accounts to ensure Trade Debtors pay to terms, maximising cash receipts and minimum risk of bad debts taking ownership and accountability for all aspects of the activity required to keep the accounts reconciled and in good order.

Working to a monthly targets and KPI`s ensure that monies due are paid to terms and that any issues impacting the Customers ability to pay are resolved as a priority to help facilitate a first class customer service and retention and a reducing age profile & DSO.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external Stakeholders. This will include Depot Managers, Customer Services and those involved in front line Customer facing Sales Teams.

Carry out ad hoc tasks and adopt best practice as requested in line with your role to support colleagues at all levels within Accounts Receivable and the wider Biffa business.

Key requirements:-

Experience in a fast paced Collections environment dealing with a range of accounts from high value Corporates to low value SME`s with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work to accounting deadlines.

Self-motivated with a desire to exceed expectations and work collaboratively with colleagues.

Candidates should be educated to GCSE level, have a high level of numeracy skills and the ability to understand numerical data along with advances excel skills.

The following Experience/Knowledge is essential for the role:

Self-motivated, team player & results driven with a minimum 18 months Credit Control experience and a proven history of debt reduction ideally as part of a high achieving Team working to structured accounting deadlines, targets and KPI`s.

Ability to quickly engage with Internal and External stakeholders demonstrating the confidence to be a key influencer in order to achieve the best outcome for all Stakeholders.

Good time Manager with the ability to plan and prioritise workload delivering a high level of service delivery.

Extensive working experience of data manipulation using excel to include as a minimum the ability to confidently use `look up`s and pivots`.
