Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer – Lancashire - £35-40k – Well Established Employer – Large Project Involvement

Samuel Frank Associates require an experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join a very well established client in the Lancashire area. Our client is an Engineering contracting company, operating in the bulk handling and bespoke engineering fields.

Because of continuing expansion, the client need to recruit an experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer ideally with heavy engineering experience. Approximately 60-70% of the role will be weighted towards the design work involved and the rest of the responsibilities will be focused on getting the plant operational.

Candidates with bulk handling, power generation or materials handling experience will be considered favourably as skills gained from these sectors will be easily transferable. The successful hire is likely to have experience of designing systems for process plants including instrument design using packages such as AutoCAD, Amtech and Microsoft Project. The successful hire should be able to demonstrate some knowledge of mechanical processes and the application of process design. It would be beneficial to have some knowledge of high voltage systems but not essential.

Reporting to the Technical Director you will need to deal with all activities connected to the Electrical, control system design and procurement of turnkey projects. The successful hire will have a minimum qualification of at least an HNC in Electrical Engineering.

Applicants must be self-motivated and versatile as well as being used to working in a contract based environment to carry out the detail design, specification and procurement of electrical and control systems associated with material handling systems.

The position is generally office based but it will be necessary to meet with clients, liaise with suppliers, carry out site surveys as well as supervise and commission installations.

The client operates on a 37.5 hour working week and time off in lieu is given for periods when more hours are worked.

The client is easily commutable from most of Lancashire including locations such as Bolton, Wigan, Preston, Blackburn, St. Helens or Bury. Please apply today for an immediate response
