Senior Modeller – CVM / SAS / SQL / Hadoop

We are delivering new technology to enhance the outbound channel, and recruiting a number of positions to bolster the already significant talent within the teams.
As part of the modelling and optimisation team you will support development of propensity and segmentation models for inbound call centres, outbound campaigns and digital channel using SAS, SQL and Hadoop to increase the profitability of the business, remaining committed to treating customers fairly.

Key Deliverables & Responsibility

Delivering data analysis, profiling, and modelling to increase understanding of customer behaviour.
Monitoring model performance and refining/rescoring as needed.
Supporting the development of testing methodologies to continually improve customer value and offer targeting, proposition development and model predictability.
Own and developing a single sustainable platform for monitoring model performance and rescoring or develop new models as required.
Perform ad-hoc analysis on different aspects of modelling outcomes and customer behaviour
Mentor junior analysts and support the overall development of the team’s capabilities. Your experience

Knowledge of mining and analysing large data sets using strong technical skills. Knowledge of SAS (Base, Guide & Miner) and SQL language is essential, as is advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
An extensive toolset of analytical methodologies and machine learning algorithms.
Knowledge and understanding of in-channel customer decisioning (CRM) in a business with a customer base in the millions.
Strong commercial acumen and effective decision making.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills up to executive level.
