Role Overview:
This new and exciting position, working for an established brand will be to support and work with the HRD as a key member of the HR leadership team on the formulation and delivery of the Business People Plan.

The role will have a broad remit and will take accountability for Employee Engagement, the Internal employment brand, Internal Communications, Talent Management, Learning & Development & Organisational Design and Development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Development of a clear HR strategy and plan in conjunction with the Chief People Officer aligned to Business priorities
• Clear employee engagement strategy and internal employment branding
• Effective, timely and engaging communications are in place, delivered via an annual calendar, reaching all colleague groups
• Development and maintenance of clear pipeline of internal talent, aligned to critical and strategic aims of the Group
• Clear L&D strategy in place, with associated funding, channels and outcomes
• Templates, approach and annual cycles for divisional delivery of engagement and OD are in place
• Principles around the target operating model are agreed and in place with Executive, ensuring team structures, accountabilities, responsibilities, skills and resources are aligned to the strategic direction of the business
• TOM and organisation design are maintained within the principles and any associated metrics
• Establishment of effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders (Divisional leadership, HR and external parties)

Required Skills & Experience:
• Extensive HR Experience, gained within a fast paced, commercial environment (e.g. service, retail, FMCG, financial services)
• Experienced in leading all of OD, Talent & Internal Comms - essential
• In depth understanding and experience of organisational design, development, including but not limited to engagement, internal communications, talent management, organisation design and L&D
• Strong experience in leading and successfully delivering on large scale employee engagement
• Experience of high level (whole group) organisational design
• Strong experience of transformational change working at pace
• Demonstrable record of leading significant HR interventions (from initial diagnostic phase through to delivery) which contribute to business success
• Strong planning and organisation skills
• Must have personal credibility with key business decision-makers and HR colleagues
• People management skills, including working in matrix structures
• Confidence to influence and challenge key business decision-makers constructively
• Appropriate degree or Diploma in Management
• Chartered MCIPD qualified or equivalent
