Laura Hartley Recruitment are working very closely with our great client on this newly created position. Our client are a multi- million pound business with a turnover of £21m+ with employees here with in the UK, Europe and America. They work in many markets, Construction, Automotive, Food and Drink, Aerospace, oil and Gas plus many more.

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Commercial and New Business Development Manager.

Scope of Role:

You will take over the day to day supervision of the commercial and new business teams alongside with direct administrative management of one of the key markets (America). As a designated number 2, you will be expected to carry out reports, and be the go to person.
Occasional travel is expected here within the UK and Abroad.

Key Responsibilities:
Day to day supervision of the commercial and NBD teams (internal).
Create a sales growth plan for the core territories assigned.
Ensuring the teams' workload is managed and assisting where necessary.
Providing training to the new members of staff.
Analysing commercial complaints.
Supporting the Head of Commercial in establishing the pricing strategy, revision of commercial policies and/or opportunities for process / general improvements.
Conducting customer visits and attending marketing events when required by the business in the UK and overseas.

Keys Skills:
Proven record of supervising a commercial/sales team.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong organisational, presentation and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to take ownership and step up in complex situations
Ability to work as a part of the team and/or showing own initiative.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience and track record in a supervisory commercial/ within international B2B/
Degree in Business and/or equivalent of 3 years + in the supervisory role within manufacturing
Additional language is of benefit
Driving license and ability to travel.

Salary: £28-30K dependent upon experience
Benefits: Company pension, death in service benefit, 5 weeks holiday + bank holidays, early finish on Friday, free parking
