We have an exciting opportunity for a E-learning Training Co-ordinator to join our client on a part time basis (2.5 days per week) on a fixed term contract until 31 December 2018.

The aim of the E-learning Training Co-ordinator role is to enhance the capacity of individuals and organisations who are operating in the Humanitarian Sector. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a series of e-facilitated urban humanitarian courses for humanitarians and providing relevant staff training to enable the e-course to take place as required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Designing and delivering capacity building activities for Urban Humanitarianism
Responsible for the coordination and quality delivery of five e-facilitated courses - Urban WASH, Shelter, Humanitarianism, DRR & Security as online courses (in collaboration with the Programme Coordinator)
Support the development of e-facilitated courses within Urban Humanitarianism and lead the post-pilot course revision
Develop elements of the e-facilitated courses within Urban Humanitarianism where appropriate
Deliver e-facilitated and/or moderate of courses
Work with the Project Officer and ensure they have the resources to make logistical arrangements for the courses
Manage the online mentoring programme as part of this project, and contribute to mentoring working group
Work with the Europe and Global Initiatives programme team to ensure timely completion of project deliverables
Work closely with other training and support staff in the team to ensure the efficient administration and smooth running of capacity building events
Contribute to the company's UK’s e-learning strategy and procedures

Project Management:
Manage the e-learning budget and the relationship with the provider
Manage relationships with associate trainers, including managing the identification, recruitment, contracting and support of those individuals
Ensure necessary monitoring and evaluation data is gathered on all e-learning activities
Understanding Sector Needs and Opportunities
Participate in periodic Learning Needs Analysis of individual relief workers and Humanitarian Organisations.
Play a lead role in identifying opportunities for the business to support the sector and marketing of their UK work, liaising closely with Communications Team as well as staff in the Europe and Global Initiatives Team.
Where relevant, lead on the writing and submission of funding proposals, and compile reports to donors.

Internal capacity building and positioning
Organise and deliver training to internal and external trainers for e-facilitation
Advising across the team for the company's online learning and supporting the creation of or creating online courses as appropriate
Keep-up-to-date with developments (technological and pedagogical) in e-learning, and disseminate these to colleagues
Represent the company at learning events and other networks and forums, delivering presentations, seminars or workshops where required.

Person Specification

Essential
E-Learning Expertise – at least 3 years’ experience in designing, developing, delivering, facilitating and reviewing various on-line courses and events
Learning Theory – at least 3 years’ experience and understanding of adult learning (andragogy) and methodologies, including designing and delivering training courses and educational issues in relation to technology
Technological Expertise – familiarity with current software tools for the creation, administration and operation of virtual learning environments for e-learning using Moodle, and relevant tools and techniques that support good on-line learning, along with Microsoft office skills
Relationships and Representation – used to building relationships externally and internally to an organisation to achieve good results, tactful and diplomatic, and able to represent the company externally and to develop networks and maintain these
Monitoring, evaluation and learning – able to track e-learning data, evaluate information from courses and share learning and statistics in an accessible format e.g. infographics
Team player – experience of working successfully within a team environment and build rapport with team members
Communication - good interpersonal communication skills and self-awareness
Work planning - effective workload management skills and ability to use initiative to solve problems

Desirable
Qualification - Post-graduate in related subject such as Learning & Technology or Education and Humanitarianism or International Development
Donor management - Experience of working with or managing institutional donors/ private-sector funded projects
Technical expertise - Broad understanding of technical activities such as shelter, logistics, water and sanitation, food security and nutrition etc. Ideally, some experience in Humanitarian and/or international development field operations
Languages - Fluency in a language other than English
Travel – able and willing to travel within the UK and internationally sometimes to insecure and difficult environments for periods up to 2 weeks
