The basics:

Salary: £50,000

Hours: Mon-Fri 36 hours per week - Flexible - normal hours worked 7am-3pm

Company and role overview:

World class manufacture and brand with facilities located across the world. You will have team of approx. 15 with two direct reports being warehouse cell leaders. Control the flow and external suppliers - materials to aid manufacture.

The role in brief:

* Lead and manage the manufacturing materials warehouses and the flow of all production materials
* Help improve the systems and processes of manufacturing to make sure we optimise our production value streams
* Drive efficiency
* Work closely with manufacturing and production to deliver materials on time
* Optimise performance - deliver stock accuracy in a timely manner
* Develop and deliver the production operational plans
* Continuously improve processes to ensure the flow of materials
* Manager 3rd party warehouse functions and materials flow across sites
* Responsible for the warehouse and stock control teams

The ideal Materials Manager will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

* Previous experience managing the flow of material into a production focused environment, working closely with warehousing, supply chains and production.
* A Lean manufacturing focus/understanding would be highly beneficial
* Previous experience improving and developing systems to optimise production value streams
