The position is for a strong paraplanner, with experience in dealing with high net worth individuals. Strong attention to detail, the ability to work unsupervised, under pressure and to tight deadlines are all essential as the role will entail research and report writing within a strong client focussed team culture.

The successful candidate will:

- Already have been in a paraplanning role, involving direct contact with clients.
- Be at least CII Diploma qualified (or IFS equivalent)
- Be proficient in using Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and be familiar with Voyant, the lifetime cashflow modelling tool.
- Understand the principles of asset allocation and portfolio construction.
- Have a working knowledge of third party custody solutions.
- Have strong product knowledge, particularly with regard to pensions but also with regard to a range of other investments such as ISAs, VCT/EIS, structured products etc.
- A resourceful and creative problem solver, capable of embracing the role quickly and progressing to work largely unsupervised, delivering an outstanding planning experience based on a broad and deep technical knowledge and exceptional attention to detail.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex strategies with clarity.
- Is efficient, punctual and presentable at all times, creating a consistently professional impression.
- Has the aptitude to assist others in an efficient, enthusiastic, forward thinking manner using organisational and prioritising skills

Duties include:

- Gathering and analysing comprehensive, detailed information from clients, their professional advisers and others.
- Producing client reports, lifetime cash flow plans and suitability letters in line with the firm’s guidelines and procedures.
- Preparing and modifying lifetime cashflow models relevant to each client’s circumstances, objectives and possible financial outcomes.
- Helping to construct a financial plan to address each client’s lifetime objectives in the context of these cashflow models, generally comprising (but not limited to) contingency planning, legacy/succession planning, asset allocation/wealth management and tax planning.
- Providing additional, ad hoc assistance relating to asset allocation, tax mitigation and wealth management as required.
- Interpreting new technical information, legislative and regulatory changes from various in-house and external sources and disseminating these to clients as appropriate.
- Helping to prepare regular reviews of clients’ financial plans.
- Engaging confidently with other Financial Planners and resources (tax compliance, investment management, insurance, administration and legal services) within the Group in order to ensure consistent improvement of the financial planning client experience
