Reporting to the Managing Director and working with the Senior Management Team the Continuous Improvement Engineer will support the facilitation and delivery of continuous improvement activities across the Engineered Products Division. The role will involve value stream and process mapping, root cause analysis and leading problem solving events. Providing timely reports of project status and performance against agreed business, goals, targets and objectives.

Main duties include:
- Manage Value Stream Mapping across all work streams
- Accurate and effective Data Gathering to identify issues and bottlenecks across all operational areas
- Drive, develop, support and Manage Continuous Improvement projects ensuring that goals and objectives are attained, sustained and clearly documented.
- Identifies and documents variances from project goals, targets and objectives and communicates status report including any areas of risk to the Management team
- SMED analysis and implementation
- Manage and co-ordinate projects
- Development of visual management systems & 6s improvements
- Deploy appropriate methodologies to problem solving and support teams to solve problems effectively and efficiently
- KPI creation, monitoring & reporting
- Submit timely reports on KPI’s and projects
- OEE analysis & change implementation
- Support the business in driving and implementing sustainable “best practice” from an operational and Health & Safety Perspective

Working relationship
Proactively work with all departmental managers to develop process improvements whilst working closely with the internal Health & Safety teams to ensure the Health, Safety & Welfare of the division and teams are constantly meet.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Continuous Improvement role
- Experience of working in a Manufacturing and Engineering environment
- Six Sigma Black Belt Training & Experience
- Working knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques – Kaizen, 8D, 5Whys etc.…
- Computer literate especially with Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Excellent communication skills

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:00pm with a daily 60-minute lunch break – Flexibility as business needs dictate
