CE Media is seeking an enthusiastic and talented editorial intern (expenses paid) to contribute content to its two leading B2B magazine titles: Elite Business and Elite Franchise.

About us:

Elite Business is a national print and online title dedicated to high-growth startups, SMEs and entrepreneurs. Every issue covers up-to-the-minute content and presents a unique angle on everything enterprises need to know, from maximising the potential of mobile to setting the world alight on social media. It also gathers the best and brightest voices in the business community – from Ann Summers’ Jacqueline Gold to Gousto’s Timo Boldt – to share their experiences.

While Elite Business focuses on Britain's burgeoning startup scene, Elite Franchise is the definitive title for the UK's flourishing franchising sector. Packed full of news and features for franchisors and franchisees alike, it offers everything that anybody making the move into franchising could ever need. With former cover stars including the likes of Harry Ramsden CEO Joe Teixeira and Jan Spaticchia of énergie fitness club, there's inspiration aplenty for aspiring franchise professionals.

The opportunity:

There's never been a more fascinating time to be at the heart of the country's startup scene. With both magazines going from strength to strength, we’re offering somebody the chance to take their first steps in journalism.

In addition to keeping both websites updated with relevant and engaging news content, you may also get the chance to write features and contribute to editorial planning sessions, shaping the content of future issues. You’ll also take on some responsibility for the magazines' social media accounts, regularly populating them with content from the websites and magazines and starting a conversation with our target audiences wherever possible.

What we're looking for:

Ideally you will be studying for a journalism qualification or have recently graduated and have an enthusiasm for writing, brilliant attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Previous experience of magazine or online journalism would be advantageous, along with a working knowledge of Twitter, Facebook, InDesign and Photoshop. We would also expect the candidate to have a genuine interest in the British business landscape.

Please note that this position will be unpaid but we will cover travel expenses to our office in Chelmsford, Essex
