Job Overview
Purpose Statement

Lead on the design and build of a modelling automation capability within Hadoop to support inbound and outbound CRM operations.
Manage the automated model scoring capability day to day, supporting the productionisation of new models, and tweaking live model where appropriate to ensure all models are as accurate as possible.
Work closely with the modelling and data teams to deliver ongoing improvements to the capability.
Accountabilities

Work with stakeholders to design a modelling automation capability within the current Hadoop ecosystem - this could be a propitiatory solution such as SAS Model manager, or a customer built solution.
Work with the data team to build or implement the solution.
Support the modelling team to transition live models into the new automated environment.
Own the modelling automation environment, ensuring measurements are timely and accurate, and any refinement to models is reported to the modelling team.
Work with modelling and data to continuously improve the performance of the suite of live models.
Regularly report the performance of the model factory to stakeholders.
Investigate and suggest new technical solutions, parameters and methodologies to improve the modelling process
Support the development of testing methodologies to continually improve customer value and offer targeting, proposition development and model predictability. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

Detailed knowledge and experience of automated model scoring in a complex environment.
An understanding of advanced analytics like predictive analytics, neural networks, segmentation, cluster analysis and others
Strong data engineering knowledge in the Hadoop environment.
Expert knowledge of data modelling techniques and data mining experience.
Proficient knowledge of Excel
Familiarity with modelling and reporting tools.
Knowledge of the reporting processes and automation
Strong commercial acumen and effective decision making.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills up to executive level
