COMPANY DESCRIPTION

A world renowned Global tier one automotive supplier is looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Senior Financial Controller to work across their West Midland sites. Acting as the financial partner to the Plant Director, you will be currently operating as the most senior financial contact in a manufacturing plant.

This is an exceptional and rare opportunity for a Qualified Financial professional looking to join an internationally leading business.

THE ROLE

Working closely with the Plant Director, you will hold overall responsibility for the running of all day-to-day operations carried out by the Finance Department. This will include; reporting, budgeting and forecasting requirements - as well as offering support to the plant on all financial matters.

Providing hands-on management to a team of Controllers, you will train, coach and engage all members of the plant team in order to maximise the financial results of the plant. You will proactively monitor, forecast and control the cash requirements, acting as financial representative at business meetings.

Showing exceptional financial acumen, you will forecast plant financial performance on a monthly basis; as well as reporting the actual plant financial performance. You will hold responsibility for the accurate completion of the annual budget and 5 year business plans - as well as completing profit and analysis to explain variances between budgeted results and actual results.

Additionally, you will be required to work closely with the external audit team to ensure compliance against all relevant IFRS.

THE EXPERIENCE

In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that you are currently operating as the most senior financial contact within a high volume manufacturing plant. You must have experience of working as part of a senior management team in an organisation of 500+ headcount or £50M+ annual turnover.

You must carry full CIMA/ACCA accreditation (with at least 3 years post qualification experience).

You will show working experience of ERP systems - SAP would prove highly desirable; however, similar software will be considered.

It is essential that you have operated in a hands-on managerial role, with team management experience. Individuals who have solely operated on a strategic level will not be considered.
