My client is the No1 Manufacturer of Kitchens in the UK the company is family owned and they own every factory, production line and delivery lorry.
This company is going through a huge expansion period and now have the need to recruit additional staffing, the policy with the company is to support train develop and promote their own people.

A further fantastic opportunity has arisen to head up the stores function.

The Main purpose of the role:
To ensure the efficient control and movement of materials and goods from sourcing to the production process, placing orders to suppliers in a timely cost-efficient way ensuring best value for money and on time to meet the demands of the end users.
Ensure the on-time delivery of materials to support production requirements and plan.
Liaise with managers and departments to establish need.
Maintain and develop first class customer / supplier relationships.
Ensure value for money and products fit for purpose.
Check and booking in of stock.
Control / issue of stock and consumables.
Updating internal systems and maintain adequate and agreed stock levels.
Analyse and propose current procedures and offer improvement solutions.
Responsible for stock levels / accuracy and any variances within the agreed time frame.

Professional approach / supplier / team members.
Attention to details with an innovative approach to meet high standards of delivery.
Team player across all functions in the business.
A good understanding of engineering / production.

Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar large stores situation.
A formal related qualification would be desirable but not essential.
Great communicator at all levels.
Good IT skills and use of ( WASP ) stock system would be advantageous.
Fork Lift truck license would also be advantageous.
Full driving licence
