An exciting position has become available for an enthusiastic and confident teacher of Geography to work in a large and diverse Academy in Leicester. You should have QTS or be a successful NQT. The Academy is near the city centre and has excellent transport links. The successful candidate would be working in a busy but supportive and welcoming department with a focus on progress and excellent GCSE results.

The Academy is currently expanding and can at times be challenging. A strong classroom presence and excellent behaviour management skills are essential. It also has a very passionate team of teachers and there may be room to progress into a permanent role for the right candidate.

You should be an inspiring teacher who is creative and flexible, with the ability to hit the ground running. You should be a team player and they have requested that the successful candidate has knowledge of recent government assessment changes and teaching the new curriculum at Key Stage 4.

As the successful Geography Teacher you will need to:
• Be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of Education
• Have the ability and experience of teaching English at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
• Have strong classroom management skills
• Be able to deal with challenging behaviour, a patient and creative approach is necessary.
