A rare opportunity has arisen at Bright Beginnings Pre-school Ltd in Essex.

We are looking for a proficient, qualified and motivated SENCO who is passionate about ensuring each child reaches their full potential.

We are a large, vibrant Outstanding Pre-school with a friendly, enthusiastic team and a commitment to being inclusive. Our team have all been trained to support children with their developing speech and language and we have an accreditation as a Communication Friendly Setting. We have an excellent reputation with professionals and parents in our community and are recognised for our high standards. We are currently supporting a number of families with a wide range of SEND.

Ideally you will have experience as a SENCO working in an Early Years setting with current knowledge of, and up -to-date qualifications in the Code of Practice.

A minimum NVQ level 3 Early Years qualification or recognised equivalent is essential.

Your role will include –

  • Ensuring parents are closely involved throughout the process of early identification and support and that their insights inform action taken by the setting
  • Liaising with professionals or agencies beyond the setting
  • Advising and supporting colleagues
  • Ensuring all practitioners in the setting understand their responsibility to children with SEN and the settings approach to identifying and supporting children with SEN or disabilities and to promote equality of opportunity for children in their care.

The vacancy is term-time only, our operating hours are 8.30 – 3.45.

Salary to be reviewed after an initial three-month probation period is completed.
