With a turnover in excess of £180 million, and a presence in over 80 countries , this global professional services company are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Credit Manager, on a Contract basis, to take ownership of Credit Management operations across EMEA, APAC and the Middle East.
Based in an office near Heathrow, you will be managing an experienced team of 14 Credit Controllers, and you will be working closely with the UK Finance Director and Global CFO
A varied role your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy
Engage with and motivate the credit and collections team, which is made up of 14 credit control professionals
Ensure maximum cash collection and apply methods to significantly reduce the debtor days outstanding
Measure and monitor credit management performance
Ensure all appropriate credit policies are planned, reviewed and constantly applied for all relevant areas.
Managing the day to day Credit Management teams operations, providing advice, support and dealing with credit related issues.
Managing a continuous improvement program, assessing the current credit management processes, before using your expertise and experience to recommend improvements
Manage relations with credit reporting agencies
Manage relations with credit insurance providers
Manage relations with International business development teams
Oversee the preparation of reconciliations & accounts receivable
Contribute to month end financial reporting and analysis
Maintain the corporate credit policy
Recommend changes in the credit policy to UK Finance Director and Global CFO if appropriate
Personally investigate the largest customer credit applications
Manage periodic credit reviews
Engage and work closely with other department heads to devise and implement departmental strategies that will support the overall strategy for credit management department.
This is an exciting and challenging role where you will be working in a fast paced environment, leading an experienced credit management team, and working on some interesting and diverse projects.
To be successful for the position of Senior Credit Manager for this International business, you should have previously worked in the Professional Services sector and have experience of managing a large and experienced credit management team.
Due to the level of this role, having excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships is also key.
It is preferred that the successful candidate also has a strong technical knowledge and experience across most or all of the following areas:
credit risk strategy,
credit risk governance
credit risk processes and methodologies.
The successful person should have the ability to apply their previous Credit Control /Credit Management experience immediately, and be able to hit the ground running.
In terms of systems, you should be highly literate with MS office and be confident in dealing with large volumes of data sets and complex information.
You should either be qualified by experience or have a relevant Institute of Credit Management qualification
