Inventory Analyst & Planner

You will be working in a leading ambient and frozen food distribution Company with over 30 years of history. We pioneer South East Asian food stuffs into retail channels and have grown to become the largest and leading importer of Filipino products into the UK and Ireland, and our Thai ranges encompass a number of leading worldwide brands for which we have received two Thailand Prime Minister Awards.

We import from all over South East Asia and Europe including: Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, China, the Philippines and Holland. With our extensive product range, building on a strong past and with a positive outlook we are recruiting an additional member to our Imports Team in order to support our rapid growth.

The role is based at Manning Impex Limited where you will help build and implement a robust, efficient flow of products through the Company’s purchase ordering and forecasting system. Co-ordinating with the purchase ordering team, you will be responsible for maintaining ideal stock levels and availability. In addition, you will be in control of the end-to-end purchase order processing, communications and facilitating order shipments. You will be reporting directly to the Imports Manager and COO.

You will be joining the Imports Team and conducting the following tasks:
- Working with our inventory management system to ensure optimum inventory levels
- ABC Inventory analysis and classification
- Analysing and recommending purchase orders
- Historical sales performance analysis and reporting
- Forecasting demand based upon seasonality, sales projections, promotions, etc.
- Assisting with Supply Chain risk management
- Liaising with Overseas suppliers
- Communicating prices, promotions, delays, and other correspondences throughout the Company
- Purchase order management and receiving stock in on Sage 200
- Account and database management
- Clerical and documentation management
- Negotiating and organising multi-modal freight shipments

Key Skills / Experience Required:
- Graduate Calibre ideally in a quantitative or business subject, or equivalent
- 2 years previous experience in Inventory Management
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and able to communicate confidently
- Strong work ethic with ability to work from initiative
- A background in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain role is essential, preferably in food FMCG
