Support Workers (Charity/ Learning Disabilities)

Our client is a charity dedicated to supporting people with a learning disability lead independent lives with opportunity and choice where their rights are respected. They provide a range of services in Coventry and Oxford which help people with a learning disability to live their life to the full.

Position: Support Worker
Locations: The Albion – Chipping Norton, Oxon (Commutable from Kingham, Hook Norton, Heythorp, Long Compton, Great Rollright, Enstone and Banbury) and
Wolvercote Day Services (commutable form Oxford City Centre and surrounding areas)
Contract type: Permanent- Full and Part Time hours available between 08:30 am and 3.30 pm
Hours: Up to 37 hours per week
Salary: £8.59 per hour as of 1st April 2018

About the Role:

Their Day Activities Service is currently looking for several staff to cover mainly daytime hours between 9.00am and 3.00pm, there are full time and part time positions available and this may include some community outreach. This role would suit anyone of any age with a caring nature, who has a passion for arts and crafts and similar values to those of the charity, they offer high quality training so previous experience is not necessary.

About You:

They are looking for the right people who will be patient, have a good sense of humour and will be able to support people through good and bad days and don’t require them to have previous experience in this area. They are looking for people who are committed to supporting the people they work with and who are honest and reliable, who can be creative and flexible in their approach, encouraging people to grow and develop.

No experience is required, all we ask is that you are flexible and want to support people to be part of the community.
