JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title:Group IT Business Analyst

Reports To:Group Finance Director

Organisation:Originally founded in 1856 as Marsh and Parson the Arcturus Group has been under the control of the current owners and Group Board members since 2006.Blenheims has developed from a small Property Management business into one now employing over 65 staff in three locations across the Southern part of England.

Function:To be responsible for enhancing the internal IT requirements (specifically the continued development of our Qube Property Management System) that will allow the Group to continue to grow and to fulfil it’s stated aims

Responsibilities and Duties:


1.Working with the Group Finance Director to maintain and develop Qube in accordance with the Qube Development Committee including (but not limited to);

a)Develop Qube Property Management by leading the identification, gathering and communication of business requirements (with support from the Group Finance Director);

b)Develop Qube Client Accounting Reporting Functionality and provide support on process improvements;

c)Act as Qube workflow co-ordinator;

d)To act as liaison with external Qube consultants and staff and to resolve any issues in a timely manner;

e)Develop expert knowledge of Qube PM and provide training to all staff as appropriate on new Qube developments/process improvements on Qube;

f)Support external IT consultants with any Qube system upgrades as and when required; and

2.Working with the Group Finance Director to maintain and develop Qube-SLM in accordance with Campions Staff including (but not limited to);

a)Develop Qube-SLM Reporting Functionality and provide support on process improvements;

b)To act as liaison with external Qube-SLM consultants and staff and to resolve any issues in a timely manner;

c)To provide training to all staff as appropriate on new Qube-SLM developments/process improvements on Qube;

d)Support external IT consultants with any Qube-SLM system upgrades as and when required; and

3.Streamline all data entry requirements for the Group through creating and implementing process improvements with Board approval.

4.To encourage other staff members to progress ideas which may add value to any of the business and to assist them with setting up new initiatives

5.To attend regular training and updates of developments in Property Management Software.

6.Assist staff with ad hoc IT issues (including Microsoft Office) as they arise.


1.To undertake any ad hoc work as requested by the Group Finance Director or other Group Board members

2.Carry out all duties within ARMA-Q guidelines and RICS code of practice

3.Ensure that FCA regulation guidelines are adhered to in all working practices and behave in accordance with these rules

4.Be courteous and professional in all dealings with clients, customers, contractors and general public and ensure staff adhere to the ‘we-will, we-won’t’ document.

5.Be punctual at all times and ensure that you are dressed in accordance with the companies Dress Code

6.Be an active team player and participate in team meetings and Company and Group team building initiatives

7.Endeavour to remain informed of new relevant legislation and best practice guidelines

8.Carry out other reasonable tasks as may be assigned by a Director.

9.Regularly report to your Line Manager and ensure that they are aware of your progress and providing you with the correct level of support and assistance that is required in order to undertake the role successfully.Assist with the preparation of a tailored development plan for personal growth and career development.

NB: The above list is not exhaustive and is given as a guide. You may be required be senior members of the team to undertake other reasonable duties expected of a member of the Arcturus group staff or Associated Companies.

Skills and Experience:

1.The verbal communication skills to communicate with a diverse client group and internal staff

2.The written communication skills and numerical skills to produce succinct correspondence and reports.

3.Ability to specifying a solution and preparing a proposal

4.Ability to present solution and influence Qube Development Team decision making process

5.When approved project manage and deliver solution solo or as part of a team depending on scale to budget and agreed timescale

6.When project complete handover to internal team including a documentation pack

7.Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively to ensure delivery of objectives

8.Exceptional IT skills including detailed knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft Office.


1.Should have at detailed experience of database management

2.System Administration experience required

3.Business process analysis and business intelligence reporting experience essential

4.Basic knowledge of desktop hardware

5.Experience in at least one programming language e.g. SQL, C#


Essential qualifications are:

1.Undergraduate Degree or equivalent in IT or related course

Desirable qualifications are:

2.Knowledge of Qube Property Management System desirable but not essential

Hours and Environment:

1.Office Hours are 9:00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Must be prepared to work longer hours where necessary

2.Also required to attend meetings and conferences.

3.Primary office located at Pembroke House, Torquay Road, Paignton, Devon, TQ3 2EZ but will be required to visit other office locations.

4.Holiday entitlement 20 days per annum with 1 extra day for each year worked up to 25 days
