SEN Teaching Assistant - Barnet

Have you recently graduated with a degree in psychology and are looking for an SEN related role teaching assistant role to enhance your skills and experience? If you place pupil progress and welfare at the forefront of your concerns, and are serious about becoming an educational psychologist in the future, this long-term teaching assistant position will suit your ambitions and goals.

We are currently working with a lovely primary school in Barnet, they are looking for an SEN teaching assistant to join them. This is for a ASAP start. The school has only been open for 8 years, it boasts state of the art equipment, and all staff are incredibly supportive.

The successful teaching assistant will have a degree, the drive to become a primary school teacher/educational psychologist in the near future and have experience of working with pupils with special educational needs.

You will be offering one 2 one support to a year 2 child. The school caters for primary aged students and they also have a unit for complex needs, such as PMLD, Autism, Cerebral Palsy and physically disabled.

Key skills and experience needed:

*Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
*Experience with Autism
*PECs and Makaton`
*Strong behaviour management
*One to one and small group work
*Professional manor
*Enthusiasm and friendly approach
