Hours: Full Time – 8:30 to 5:00 or 9:00 to 5:30

My client, a FSTE 250 listed company, are seeking interim support within their Credit Control team, for an on-going period of time. The role is working within a team of 35-40 Credit Controllers and is very much a 'pure credit control' role, largely based around getting on the phones and meeting call targets. The team is very diverse with all different levels of experience and backgrounds and the role would suit someone who is friendly and well organised.

Vacancy Description

To manage your own case load within the Credit Control Team, working within Company procedures and guidelines, to meet or exceed company standards and client expectations.

Key Areas

(a) Primarily telephone debt recovery ranging from large corporate clients to individuals.
(b) Reconciliation and account analysis.
(c) Liaison with debt recovery solicitors dealing with legal recovery.
(d) Communicating queries to the Business Units and follow ups.
(e) Checking daily payments.
(f) Written correspondence will include automated letters, copy invoices and client statements.
(g) Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines ensuring targets and monthly targets are achieved.
(h) To undertake any job specific training.
(i) To ensure the confidentiality of the firm’s and client’s documentation and information.

Key Requirements

(a) Approx. 2 years previous credit control knowledge, ideally in a professional firm
(b) Reasonable knowledge of MS Office.
(c) A professional and confident telephone manner at all times
(d) Good problem solving skills.
(e) Good communication skills, verbally and written.
(f) Ability to prioritise workload and re-schedule as required to meet deadlines.
(g) Must be organised, practical and pragmatic.
(h) Must have a flexible attitude to work.
(i) Conscientious and common sense approach to work.
(j) Willing to learn.
(l) Previous knowledge of SAP would be an advantage but not essential.
