My client is a national distributor of specialist interior products and they have built a reputation based on value and service and their product range is of a high standard.

They currently have an opening for a Credit Controller to report into the Credit Controller Supervisor. You will be responsible for –

• Collecting as much cash as possible whilst maintaining customer satisfaction
• Dealing with client queries when they arise concerning the status of their account
• Raising invoices and credit notes on a weekly basis
• Assisting with keeping debtors to a minimum
• Allocating cheques, BACS and reconciling customer accounts
• Liaising with various departments regarding clients in dispute
• Sending statements, reminder letters, summons and copy invoices to customers
• Looking into customer accounts and making a decision as to whether credit can be given
• Creating, generating and maintaining reports using different systems
• Analysing data to provide accurate information
• Ad-hoc project work as requested by the Financial Director/Credit Controller

The ideal candidate for the role will have the following –

• Experience of credit control
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
• A self-described “finisher”, proactive, with a high attention to detail
• Excellent judgement and decision making skills
• Excel Advanced and good knowledge of other Microsoft products
• A good knowledge of different IT systems and Credit Risk tools
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a team
• An excellent level of verbal, written and numerical literacy and the ability to network at all levels
• Occasional working outside of standard hours to complete projects or own work
