Infrastructure Architect Job Purpose: The JM Group are working with a large finance organisation based in central London and are looking for a Infrastructure Architect to join a permanent bases. The role is offering between £80,000 - 100,000 depending on experience. The Infrastructure Architect will be planning, designing, and supporting the delivery of technology solutions. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that the Infrastructure component of new and existing projects is considered at the very beginning of the project lifecycle to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose and operationally supportable. Experience *Ability to write architectural design documents and review designs from others *Understanding of current technology trends and how to apply those to current or future architectural needs *Proven knowledge of Public/Private cloud technologies *Good understanding of global web caching technologies eg Akamai CDN *Good knowledge of Linux *Good understanding of core networking concepts, including TCP, DNS, LAN/WAN protocols and datacentre architectures *Knowledge of HFT/HPC/Exchange platforms *ITIL frameworks *Knowledge of network monitoring tools *Knowledge of virtualization and storage systems *Knowledge of low latency network technologies *Experience in the financial sector *Degree Educated Skills *Good interpersonal skills to build and foster customer relationships *Excellent communication skills, written and verbal *Proactive self starter *Ability to work with people in different timezones *Strong Stakeholder Management The JM Group is operating and advertising as an Employment Agency for permanent positions and as an Employment Business for interim / contract / temporary positions.
