Information & Systems Manager - Central London - up to £42k
Are you currently looking for a new opportunity in managing IT systems? My client is looking for an IS manager to join their team near St James Park, London. You will be tasked to manage the smooth running of the company's hardware and software environment by making appropriate recommendations to the Head of Information & Systems for the improvement of systems and technology driven services to internal and external customer and implement new infrastructure as required. About The Role Main Duties and Responsibilities -Information and Communications Technology (ICT) -Run an IT Support Desk service to support End Users of ICT to agreed service levels and quality standards -Pro-actively manage the company's network to ensure a secure, stable and sufficient ICT service at all sites -Work with second line support provider to address complex tasks and to ensure business continuity -Manage third party providers of print and telecoms services -Provide IS training and coaching on site and advice on best practice -Source and make recommendations on purchase or lease of office equipment, desktop/mobile technology, print & telecoms -Cover first line support in the absence of the IS Officer. -Attend training courses in house and externally to develop expertise and further knowledge -Achieve performance targets and attend supervision in line with the Performance Management Framework -Undertake any other tasks, as requested by the Executive Management Team, which are necessary for the smooth running of the company About You You will need to have an IT related degree and/or 3+ years in a relevant IT managerial role. EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS Server administration (Windows Server 2008 R2 - HyperV an advantage) Configuring and monitoring network security and integrity including patching, firewall and Antivirus File Management (including directory management, PowerShell, permissions and backup/recovery - SharePoint an advantage) First/second line support of hardware and software in a Windows Environment (Windows Pro 10 & MS Office 2016 - Visio & Project an advantage) As an individual, you will need to have the ability to work pro-actively and unsupervised, organise and prioritise own work, possess the ability yob r a strong collaborator and be creative Communicate effectively orally and in writing Work to tight deadlines, thinking and planning ahead Work flexibly & cooperatively Maintaining personal boundaries, integrity and confidentiality Problem-solving Uses own initiative Customer service skills The Benefits On top of this fantastic opportunity paying a salary of up to £42k, there is a generous holiday allowance and pension scheme & a host of company benefits.
