Assistant Project Worker - Youth Offending £19,637 - £21,552 per annum (incl. local weighting) 37 hours per week Permanent The Company: Slough Children's Service Trust is a new and innovative company delivering children's safeguarding and social care services in Slough. A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Worker within the Trust. Purpose of role: To support the Slough Youth Offending Team in a range of tasks to prevent or reduce offending behaviour by children and young people. Main accountabilities: Assisting in the supervision of young people subject to Court Orders under the direction of Youth Offending Team staff Available to undertake agreed tasks for an agreed amount of time Participate in the delivery of programmes of intervention as arranged by the Youth Offending Team staff To work, under direction, on an individual and group work basis with young people and their families on behalf of the YOT Act as a mentor to young people and their parents/carers. Requirements: Experience of working with young people and their families Experience of undertaking both one-to-one and group work with young people Can communicate clearly in both written and spoken English, particularly with young people and their families/carers Able to undertake prescribed activities with young people as directed by the Youth Offending Team Current, valid driving licence.
