International Trade, Sanctions and Investigations Associate 2-4pqe – top US law firm
Our client is a leading US firm with an established presence in Europe. Its London disputes and white collar crime practice is very well regarded and it now seeks an associate with expertise in International Trade, Export Controls, Dual-Use and Financial Sanctions to assist the group. This will be a contract role, for 6m initially, with the potential to extend/become permanent.
The ideal candidate will have experience of Sanctions/International Trade gained from either private practice or government (UK or EU), will have c.3 years’ PQE, excellent academics, and a clear interest and expertise in this area. This is an ideal role for a trade lawyer in a government organisation (UK/FCO/ECO or EU) to move back in to private practice. You will, in addition to the above, have the opportunity to assist on internal, regulatory and government investigations.
The firm pays top US rates, so you could expect to earn well over £150,000.
The role offers an ambitious associate an opportunity to gain real autonomy in an exceptional disputes, crime, and trade team. Fluency in other European languages is a significant advantage.
