Position: Senior Linux Engineer / Architect Location: Cambridge 1 day p/week, 4 days work from home Type: Permanent Salary: £60 - £90,000 p/annum TEC Partners have a truly unique opportunity to join an excellent company. As stated above, you would be required in the Cambridge office for 1 day every week and then can work from home for the other 4 days - particularly attractive to those looking to improve their work/life balance. We are assisting our client to appoint a Senior Linux Engineer / Architect to work as part of a growing team. There's some incredibly innovative people already working there - some of the best minds in Cambridge. We are looking for the candidates who are not only capable of high-level, Linux systems architecture but who also enjoy it and are passionate about the technology that they work with. This is a prerequisite and our client will not consider candidates who see it as "just a job". As the team grows, you will be required to provide technical leadership and will have significant input at a strategic level but it's important to note that the role will remain hands-on. Hence the aforementioned requirement of really enjoying the technology and the work that you do on a day-to-day basis. This role will suit someone who has a particularly analytical mind-set and is able to apply this in a commercial setting - in the way of resolving technical challenges and contributing findings to senior management. This person will enjoy working both autonomously and also as part of the wider team. A full list of responsibilities will be provided on application.
