DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION AND LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES

As a large multi-site organisation with a responsibility for training some 11,000 students per annum, and in keeping with our values, we recognise a need for continuous improvement across all facets of Information Technology in order to achieve our corporate objectives.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for owning, developing and driving the organisation’s Digital Transformation Strategy, which will deliver an enhanced end user experience for all our stakeholders.
The strategy will create an outstanding teaching and learning environment suitable for a thriving mixed economy college and a robust platform to deliver innovative business support systems. You will ensure the effective IT management of upcoming capital projects and successfully lead four distinct areas including:·Learning Technology Development·Network Operations and IT Service Desk·Systems Development·Web Services
You will use your industry knowledge and experience to work with curriculum leaders to design and develop new technology enhanced learning solutions supplementing the existing Virtual Learning Environment and assisting the creation of new technology enhanced pedagogy. You will lead a Learning Technology Development Group that will monitor the implementation of new solutions, ensuring that they enhance teaching quality standards and levels of student satisfaction.
You will use your demonstrable previous experience and up-to-date technical knowledge of IT infrastructure within a large organisation to support systems development across a range of platforms and services. This will, in turn, deliver on the strategic transformational change vision and offer value added opportunities for business support areas, further enhancing the overall value of IT services within the organisation.
