Platers & Fabricators Welders THE ROLE My client in Sheffield require a number of experienced Platers & Fabricators Welders to work on on-going projects welding vehicle interiors, panels, chassis, crushers for refuge lorries or other large coach type vehicles. THE CLIENT Based in South Sheffield, our client currently works on contracts for the likes of JCB and Denis Eagle and is commutable from Chesterfield, Nottinghamshire, Rotherham, Doncaster & Barnsley. THE IDEAL PLATER & FABRICATOR WELDERS To be considered you must be competent in MIG welding 4mm+ mild steels unassisted and be able to work from engineering drawings. The projects will be working on box sections and other panels ranging in thickness of 4mm and upto (absolute thickest 50mm, for Platers). The successful Fabricator Welder MUST be competent working from drawings and able to build/work with jigs from scratch. Experienced can include apprentice trained, time served or experience Platers, Fabricators & welders who have experience in building and working in jigs. You must also be competent in MIG welding on mild steel. A weld test must be completed (T fillet, MIG on mild steel). Immediate start available and will lead to permanent after successful completion of initial 12 week, weekly paid period. Welder rate - £10ph Fabricator Welder rate - £10.50ph Plater rate - £11.50 Senior Plater - £12.75 Hours: 7am - 4pm Mon-Thurs, 7am - 11am Fri Permanent role after completion of 12 weeks' contract of service, weekly paid.
