Senior Project Manager - Camberley, Surrey - 3 months £350 to £440 per day

A senior Project Manager with a strong Infrastructure background and experience of working on a wide range of technical IT projects.

Responsible for managing the infrastructure definition, design, build and delivery of technical infrastructure projects covering a broad range of IT services including desktop, email, network, mobile phones, telephony and server infrastructure supporting global and/or UK business systems.

This role will lead and manage large scale and complex IT infrastructure projects that impact across the global organisation, providing transformational change within IT and as an enabler of business change. The Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for ensuring their projects are managed, resourced and delivered within the defined project framework, following company technical standards, policies and principles plus ensuring delivery to time and budget, and including the production of project documentation as defined by the project framework.

The candidate will provide advice, strong leadership and clear direction to multiple project resources/teams, local or remote, internal or external, working on their projects. They will manage any required internal project resources either those directly assigned to projects or in a matrix environment, plus manage any third party suppliers/resources required.

Key Responsibilities
*Matrix management of a diverse group of people which may include Technical Leads, Solution Architects, Business Analysts and 3rd party suppliers
*Manage project deliverables, objectives, schedules, risks and issues, and undertake timely and effective communication to all stakeholders
*Maintain understanding, knowledge and awareness of technology developments and best practice in IT infrastructure solutions
*Manage the design, testing and implementation of solutions for delivery
*Manage the impact IT change on the business
*Implement effective change management for the project
*Communicate with all stakeholders and provide regular progress updates

Key Requirements
*Extensive project management experience with a strong background in leading complex and/or multiple projects using a recognised project management method
*Proven track record of projects delivered to time, cost, scope
*Experience of identifying, mitigating and managing complex risks and issues across multiple projects
*Good knowledge of IT Infrastructure including Data Centres, Servers, Networks, Telephony and Desktop Solutions
*A recognised Project Management qualification is desirable

This is an initial 3 month contract, the reality is that this should role somewhat continuously. My clients offices are literally based on the Hampshire / Surrey / Berkshire border.
