An exciting opportunity not to be missed! City of Wolverhampton College are looking for a Assessor - Brickwork to join the team based working across all sites across the Midlands. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis (14 hours per week) and will receive a competitive salary of £21,602 - £23,582 per annum (pro rata)! As our Assessor - Brickwork, you will carry out work based assessment of candidates in the work place and deliver training solutions to employers. Work closely with Supervisors in the work place to ensure that tasks undertaken by the candidate are both beneficial to the employer and allow the candidate to demonstrate competence against the standards. You will also work as part of a team supporting a range of NVQ’s in accordance with QCF You will be working across all sites and work places including Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire . Key responsibilities of the Assessor – Brickwork: - Communicating: Informing/Discussing/Interviewing - Communicating: Presenting/Instructing/ Briefing - Communicating: Representing/Selling (products or services) - Working with Information: Deciding - Working with information: Learning/Researching - Working with Information: Analysing/Integrating/Interpreting - Working with Information: Checking - Thinking Creatively: Problem solving/designing (methods Equipment/Systems) - Managing Tasks: Planning - Physical Activities: Using Tools/Machinery Experience and skills required of our Assessor - Brickwork: Essential: - Relevant level 4 or above qualification in the area required - Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent - Minimum Level 2 (or equivalent) in English & Maths - Proven experience in relevant industry area - Proven record of relevant and current vocational experience - Demonstrable experience of internal and external verification processes with Awarding Bodies - Ability to embed English & maths into assessments and training - Ability to embed Equality of opportunity and Diversity of culture into assessments and training - Knowledge of IT windows based systems i.e. word, excel, powerpoint and other presenting software - Proven knowledge of health & safety practices from an assessors point of view - Training skills/presentation skills Desirable: - Experience across different Awarding Bodies, setting up new programmes, developing new assessment materials - Relevant level 4 or above qualification - Internal Verifier qualification - IOSH Managing Safely (1 day)/Risk Assessments (or willing to work towards - Able to manage databases to follow through on students and keep completions to time (SMART Assessor) So if you would like to join our team as our Assessor - Brickwork then please click ‘apply’ today, we’d love to hear from you!
