Maintenance Engineer x2 - 6 month contract 6 month contract (with scope to extend) Leamington Spa / Rugby / Warwick (£34k and 33 days holiday pro rata) £ 17,100 + o/t pro rata Our client is one of the UK's market leaders in the area of automated warehousing and materials handling solutions, and as a result of recent positive internal restructuring, they are now looking to recruit multi discipline maintenance engineer x2 - 6 month contract professionals to work on an interim shift maintenance engineer basis to complement their existing team to cover a "peak" period. The role is based on a week around permanent "days" basis (earlies and lates), although on every 5th weekend a Sunday is required to be worked (with a day off taken in week instead), and at times of particularly extreme staff shortages, very occasional shifts may need to be covered. As the company prides itself on the high quality service it provides to customers across the country, it is essential that they now recruit a similarly committed and highly professional maintenance team member to ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards and the systems meet the required demands. Core responsibilities for these electrically biased multi skilled shift maintenance engineer x2 - 6 month contract positions will include: Conducting reactive and PPM maintenance on automated high bay warehousing cranes and conveyor systems Monitoring the operation and ensuring stoppages are dealt with promptly. Assisting the site manager with any safety issues which may arise. Using the computerised system to monitor site activity. Advising customers of any stock related issues. Promoting any enhancements or additions required via correct channels. Provide cover alongside other team members for holidays and sickness. These are exceptional maintenance engineer x2 - 6 month contract opportunities for enthusiastic and self-motivated shift maintenance engineers to assist a team responsible for the ongoing efficiency of a number of fully automated cranes and conveyor systems that handle more than 30,000 pallets per month. To be considered for this exciting position, you will demonstrate a relevant recognized qualification, a strong electrical background, experience of working at heights and also of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
