Please ensure that this is completed ready for review. The National Fostering Agency Group are looking to recruit a Registered Manager covering the North Region. This is a new registration and an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of this thriving and well established region. Founded in 1995, the National Fostering Agency (NFA) provides high quality foster care that places the welfare of children at the centre of its work. We partner closely with Local Authorities and UK foster carers to create the best possible opportunities and outcomes for child fostering. The role will demand effective operational and strategic management skills in order to promote the delivery of services in supporting vulnerable children. Reporting to the Regional Director this role is accountable for developing and managing all aspects of fostering resources in their region. This includes: Involvement in strategic planning and business development and contribution business plans. Researching opportunities for improving services or new initiatives to aid business growth Regular meetings with Local Authority managers, developing and maintaining good working relationships Being responsible for the professional development of social work practice and line management responsibility to the team covering the 24/7 operation. You will be a qualified Social Worker and hold HCPC (or equivalent) registration and possess an excellent working knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on Fostering. You will also have a management qualification in order to take up the Registered Managers role. This role will have targets and goals set at the outset, giving the role holder the opportunity to develop this position. We would like to hear from you if you have: Proven management skills, leadership and experience in a multi site role Experience in a management role in fostering The skills and confidence to drive business forward An ability to turn ideas into practical workable solutions Appropriate Social Work and management qualifications Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and have good IT skills. You should have previous experience of working in a statutory children’s safeguarding setting. This role requires you to be able to travel across the Region (NORTH EAST, NORTH YORKSHIRE & SOUTH YORKSHIRE ) and work flexibly. As this role is based from home, travel will be required to our other offices based in Bolton, Warrington and Uxbridge.
