The opportunity:

As can be expected with a firm of this stature, growth is continuous. Thus, we have been actioned with finding an Information System Service Desk Support (IS Support). Whilst this is a 6 month fixed term contract, there is the possibility of it being extended or taken permanently dependent upon your success and desire to excel within the company. As an IS Support, you will work as part of the department to effectively and efficiently provide systems support to IS users, providing one to one advice and solving technical problems in accordance with the firm's procedures.

Our ideal candidate:

You will be someone who has the confidence to communicate varying degrees of information, both technical and non-technical, to stakeholders of all levels. Ideally you will have an interest and desire to continue learning within an IT capacity, you may not nesseccerly be someone who has previously worked at this level, however, having the right attitude, character and demeanour will be fundamental to your application.

Some of the key responsibilities, essential skills and requirements:

• Keep technically abreast of relevant industry developments

• Ensure all calls recorded on the IS Service Desk are allocated to appropriate team members

• Take ownership of calls on the IS Service Desk and ensure a solution is delivered within the agreed SLA

• Be the first point of contact for customers wishing to report faults

• Prepare laptops by deploying standard images and installing and configuring software

• Provide Account Management support for starters, transfers and leavers

• Maintain an inventory of all IS equipment within own area of responsibility

• Provide administrative support to the Area Information Systems Managers

• Liaise with suppliers and places orders as requested by the Area Information Systems Managers

• Organise IS team meetings and book resources

• Attend and actively participate in IS meetings

• Complete a timely performance reviews and personal development plans

• Have relevant IT knowledge or attained an A Level in ICT
