Senior Node.js Developer required with substantial Node.js and REACT development skills and ideally AWS to technically lead an mentor a full stack NodeJS development team, you will also have skills in Native JavaScript / JavaScript MVC, Javascript automated feature and unit testing and experience of working in Agile environments particularly pairing, BDD, TDD and automation is required by Ecommerce giant in West London to work on new project.

Key skills required include

  • Strong Node.js
  • Native JavaScript & frameworks such as jQuery and Bootstrap.
  • Technically leading, mentoring and supporting other developers.
  • JavaScript automated feature and unit testing.
  • JavaScript MVC.
  • Website performance optimization and analytics tools.
  • Use of AWS, including deploying to the Cloud and monitoring.
  • Building systems from scratch.
  • HTML5, CSS3 and LESS, especially responsive design.
  • Ideally exposure to FLUX and ReactJS
  • Basic Linux Systems admin / DevOps
  • Testing frameworks and automation.
  • Continuous Delivery environments.
  • Agile development (particularly Pairing, BDD, TDD and automation




Knowledge and experience of the following is highly desirable:

  • Scala for building APIs and back end micro services.
  • Configuration tooling such as Puppet.
  • Software development tooling for CI builds (Git, Jenkins).




The role will involve



Team
  • Technically leading the Node.js development of end to end (full stack) stories as part of a project team.
  • Ownership of quality in our software via code reviews, test reviews and architecture reviews.
  • Leading and championing good agile practices such as pairing, TDD and automation.
  • Building effective relationships with our Product Owners, users and stakeholders, particularly on the clarification of requirements and showcasing story deliverables.


Communication
  • Demonstrates strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex delivery details simply to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
  • Gathering and analysing requirements from Users and Stakeholders.
  • Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback with others.
