A leading financial services organisation based in Swindon looking for an Application Support Analyst


You will be responsible for supporting, managing and getting the most out of a variety of organisational systems applications.

  • Providing 2nd/3rd line application & systems support to a variety of bespoke systems & applications
  • Manage routine business operation tasks including scheduled reporting and regular system integrity checks
  • Ensuring issues with systems are fully owned, documented, reported and resolved, acting as necessary as contact for IT and systems' suppliers in the resolution of any technical issues
  • 3rd party supplier management
  • Ensure all system issues are logged and documented in a timely manner in accordance with agreed process and manage and monitor resolutions
  • Communicate issues with the business that may impact BAU
  • Provide ad-hoc expert advice, guidance and support to all system users to ensure correct operation of system functions and appropriate application of systems to business processes
  • Maintain records and access rights for approved users
  • Ensure that the security and integrity of systems and data is preserved
  • Contributing to the development of standard testing plans and associated test data scenarios
  • Supervising the testing of regular system updates from software suppliers and assisting in the identification, selection and implementation of new systems and major upgrades
  • Maintain process and procedure documentation


The Person:

  • Strong application support experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Financial sector experience (desirable)
  • Strong SQL Server database knowledge
  • ITIL
  • SharePoint 2013 administration (desirable)
  • Business Objects (desirable)
  • ITIL Certified (V3)

Job Offer

£30,000 - £40,000 + very attractive benefits
