Role: Desktop Support engineer

Location: Stoke on Trent

Salary: £18,000-£20,000



A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a fast-growing insurance company in Stoke on Trent.



Role:
  • Taking ownership and responsibility calls logged
  • Resolving issues or delegate more technical/complex tasks to team members
  • Supporting mobile devices
  • Performing restoration of files for users
  • Logging reports
  • Preventative maintenance to PC/LAPTOPS/SERVERS
  • Provide assistance to the wider IT team




Skills required:

  • Excellent telephone manor
  • Strong working Knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8
  • Some networking experience and understanding of TCP/IP
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • A keen interest in IT and new technology
  • Flexible, pro-active approach and a willingness to learn
  • Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration
  • A good understanding of MS Office including outlook, Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint
